TED is awesome.

Peter Hirshberg gave an interesting talk titled "The Web and TV, a sibling rivalry". One line makes the entire 30 minute presentation worth watching:

[...]The tech world is best understood not as a business cycle, but as a mesionic movement. We promise something great. We evangelize it. We are going to change
to world. It does not work out too well, so we go back to the wall and start all
over again. [...]

Interesting stuff. The talk also does a very good job at highlighting that FUD works is an excellent marketing proposition.
